Getting Into the Trunk

I am sort of in a pickle. When I picked up my E30 the previous owner did not have a working key for the trunk. I had to get a key manufactured from BMW and yet the key does not fit the trunk lock.

Any solutions? Is there a way I can get into the trunk from removing the rear bench seat?

Please help for I need to replace my shock mounts this weekend, before I blow a shock!!!
