Unless you're running adjustable plates up top, the only thing you can adjust will be the toe on the car.

This brings up a question I've had for a while..

If my car is out of alignment for some reason, let's say, on camber, and I've replaced a buncha parts and stuff (CABs, CA's, etc) and still can't resolve the issue...

Will installing adjustable plates cause any ill-effect as a side effect of correcting the alignment problem?

Panama, could easily be a bent strut housing

          Check your strut housings.

How far "out of spec" is the camber? BMW sells the "crash mounts" for reasons exactly like you're mentioning.

Oh I'm not saying it's actually happening. I was creating a hypothetical situation because I've never used adjustable mounts and I don't personally know anyone that has. So, in my frail attempts at overthinking things i stick in my car, I had come up with that situation.

I worry about my car's well being.. a lot.

              Back on topic:

Putting in Strut tops as opposed to replacing strut tops.

Yes they are adjustable otherwise I wouldn't bother asking for other peoples alignment specs!!!
