This is on an M54 DOHC.
OBD2 headers---->2" merge---->2 1/2" to the muffler.
Tyler fabricated the merge and after a summer of track time my exhaust was getting louder. I found a cracked flex joint and temporarily mended it with a V- band clamp
Do I
(1) repair it how it was by replacing the bellows
-or-
(2) put a straight pipe there leaving only 1 flex pipe.
I recall that the factory pipes have only 1 flex and 1 solid.
It seems that makes more sense. With two flex joints, isn't it creating movement at the joints?
What does R3V think?
