Pulling out the Dashboard - Wiring

Hey fellow R3vs,

Thanks for all your help throughout the years; I have another question. I got a new dash from a donor car I'm pulling out and I don't want to break the cable holders inside the dash to release the wires.. How do I open these cable holders?

Any advice would help alot.

Sorry for asking a question for such a simple thing but I had experiences in breaking these things as they're so fragile!

I just push on the two little tabs and with my other hand pull the long ribbon off.
In tight spots it's sometimes easier to crimp the two little tabs with a needle nose plier.

You can always practice on the new dash you got to get the method down. :)

These things are fragile,try YouTube,I remember seeing a video which helped me couple years ago

You can buy those clips new for not very much. The bag of 10 I bought is a lifetime supply.
They also come out if you rotate them 90 degrees
