Hey guys, I know a lot of us on here are running a lot lower than a stock E30 and if you're like me and live in Edmonton (where the roads are shit) then a skid plate becomes a necessity. I bought a mason engineering aluminum X-race with the accompanying aluminum skid plate and it has literally saved my engine; I cannot recommend this set up enough. For me, the entire system was $510 shipped to Canada, which is a fraction of what you'd pay to replace your engine if you were to destroy your oil pan. I have hit a 6x6" block of concrete and the skid plate blew it to pieces and didn't even leave a noticeable scratch. If you really care about your engine and are lower than stock, I highly, highly recommend you get one of these systems. And no, I am not affiliated with the company at all
