Maybe if we ran the Fed Gov't like a business, we wouldn't have such huge issues with overspending and debt.

The Jackholes in Congress aren't forced to do anything because they borrow/print more..........unlike local govt's.

If the revenue goes down, they reduce services. Same thing happens in business, but the Fed does not.

A business man is better than a lawyer in office. Business men hate to lose money and love to make it. Exactly what the country needs.

If you take away the political aspect and pretend they were explaining the biology of a frog, Obama was stuttering, unconvincing and seemed to be in a bad mood and on the defense. Like a hungover student at an oral test.
If this has any significance I do not know.

Agreed but as Obama said is his closing statement, people won't get their fair share. As opposed to making the system fair for all. Obama doesn't know the difference.

I think there is a better chance of fair under Romney, at least he'll get the country moving in the right direction. And his overall plan makes sense get more people working jobs and then lower the tax rate. It will benefit everyone and most importantly the country as a whole.

Government should be government, not a business. If you're just trying to say that it should operate within a budget and have rules about budgeting that's fine, but this phrase is thrown around so often without any explanation.

They both hold law degrees ;) Blanket statements about businessmen being ideal candidates for presidents relies on just as many assumptions as lawyers being bad candidates.

Offering to reduce each of the tax brackets 20%, after deriding the 47% of households who don't pay any income taxes, seems this is a move to benefit those in the highest income brackets (at a very high cost to the Federal Government's revenue).

You should be especially wary when Mitt doesn't seem to have a plan to pay for it, something you would expect from a successful businessman.

Romney is a shape-shifting chameleon adept at turning himself into whatever he feels will get him where he wants. Did you know that when he was campaigning for Senator in a Democratic state that he ran on a platform that was pro-gay marriage and pro-abortion? And after saying then that these were core beliefs handed down from his parents and that he would not waver from them, suddenly here he is pro-life and anti-gay marriage? Anything to get elected.....

                Now that's laughable.

You say this as though it's not the norm in washington.

Some are worse than others. Romney may stand above most when it comes to morally ambiguous investment strategies in countries considered enemies of the US. He invested in a Chinese company with ties to Iran in 2006, but sold off his Chinese interests just this summer. Convenient!

                            holy left bias.

                            of course, that was expected.
