Hey guys, I Picked up a 1991 318is in Brilliantrot and it was starting to look pink in the sunlight. I was worried the car's paint was toast but after some research I found single stage paint can be renewed pretty easily and that the Meguiar's Mirror Glaze works wonders on single stage paint. I started with a wash and then tried a clay bar. The Clay bar was starting to bring the paint back but it took forever and was still pinkish, so I went o the store to find the Mirror Glaze.
Anyway, I will try to post some pictures of the difference before and after. I did a good chunk of the car and left it on overnight to see how the oils penetrate into the paint. Here is one of the writeups I found on applying it.
It is a bit pricey at $16 at my local autoparts store, but I was able to source some 16 oz bottles cheaper if any one in interested, I could probably get it down to somewhere around $12 shipped.
