1992 325iC Mtech2 Appearance Package - CLEAN - NYC - OMG Motorworks Personal Car - No Longer Available

    NEW AD HERE:

    http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=409541

Finally coming to terms with putting this incredible car for sale. I purchased it back in 2011 on a whim because the car looked like a diamond in the rough. I figured that with some (serious) elbow grease I could bring it back to life.

So began the cars journey haha. It came from an auction in South Carolina and made its way up to NY. I couldn't start working on the car immediately because I just had too much going on at the time. About a year later I would finally bring the car from a friends lot in Monticello to a garage that I started renting in Long Island (Soon to become my shop? OMG Motorworks). It would take me about one year to build the car... I took as many pictures of the process as I could but closer to completion I gave up.

I finally registered and insured it May of 2014. In that time period I?ve driven 4000 miles. I purchased it with 104k on the clock, it?s now just a hair over 108k. Every mile has been thoroughly enjoyed but I just don?t drive it enough. With 2 other cars in my stable I rarely drive this one because I have to shuffle three cars around in order to bring this one out! I know? such a good looking car and I don?t drive it enough SHAME! In my defense I have a swapped E30 that I just find to be more exciting to drive. The vert is a supreme cruiser which is why I kept the motor completely stock.

What?s been replaced in the past 5 years over the course of this cars restoration?

The motor was completely seized when purchased? someone absolutely destroyed the oil pan and the auto was toast as well. I picked up a good running motor from a local friend that had recently had most of the major service work completed.
The suspension was completely gone through because I figured if I?m yanking the motor I might as well just do a complete teardown? in for a penny in for a pound!

    Motor:
110k, timing belt service, water pump, oil pan gasket, cam seals, oil pump/crank seals, valve cover gasket, blind plugs, spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor
Powdercoated Intake Manifold + Valve Cover

    Suspension:
    Bilstein Sports
    Eibach Springs
    Control Arms
E30 M3 Offset Control Arm Bushings
Sway Bar End Links (front and rear)
Sway Bar Bushings (rear are polyurethane with reinforcements)
    Rear IX Sway Bar
    Subframe Bushings
    IE Polyurethane Trailing Arm Bushings

    Steering:
Rack Doctor E36 M3 Steering rack + New tie rod assemblies (one of the fittings leaks a bit, not from pressure hose)
All new power steering lines + reservoir

    Drivetrain:
    5spd Conversion
New Clutch, Pressure Plate & Clutch Master/Slave Cylinder
    Resurfaced Single Mass Flywheel
    Guibo/Flex Disc
    Center Support Bearing
    Z3 1.9l Short Shifter w/lighted M3 Shift Knob
96k on Getrag 260 (came out of 88 Super ETA, swapped to smaller output flange)
    UUC DSSR

    Interior:
Removed from an early model 325iC with low mileage (can?t recall)
Sport Black Leather Interior ? Front seats are heated and working
    Crack Free Dashboard
Alpine UTE-42bt ? hands free microphone, wireless music streaming, USB charging/playback (factory amp eliminated and removed)
    Anthracite Carpet
    New Mtech2 Steering Wheel
    **Working A/C ? R134A**
OBC Light Bar upgraded with an LED light bar

    Exterior:
15x7 BBS RZ 378?s ? outer barrel could use refinishing
    205/55 15 Dunlop Direzza DZ101
Manual Top Conversion from same early model + Top Itself
    New Windshield
Smoked U.S. Ellipsoids + Cross Hairs
99% RUST FREE - the only spots that show any sign of rust are from previous collision repair at the rear corners of the taillights.

I?m asking $13,000 considering the amount of work that?s gone into the car. I have a lot more in my own personal labor but we all know that that?s a sunk cost. I?m open to reasonable offers.

Appreciate! Wish I could keep her... but at least I still have another E30 in the stable.

Bump for a sweet Vert. But what carpet you got in the Vert? I've been searching for some carpet for my Vert and nobody manufactures them.

Its a factory carpet from another convertible. I washed it before reinstalling it!

                              P.S.

I'm going to take care of a few trouble spots on this car in the interest of sorting it totally.
