Garagistic Pedal box vs 2002 Booster in S54 swap, pros and cons

So as I continue to buy part after part for my build I am on to the brakes. I will have an E46 M3 setup for front and rear.

Since my car is an Auto right now a big plus to the Garagistic setup is that I can get a new pedal box plus three new MCs since I dont currently have one for the clutch.

The other option is to go with a 2002 booster which is a bit more complex setup.

So other then that what are the other pro/cons? Brake feel differences? Stopping power? Effort level?

I know this is probably a tough question to answer since not many have driven both set ups, but I would love any experience with anyone who has either.

    Thanks in advance!

I know it is an older thread and you may have proceeded since, but there might be another option. And it does everything a Wilwood/Tilton pedal box does, but installs in 30 minutes... ;-)

    And a 1.5" shorter version

The short version will soon be available with MCs tilted 45° to fit the pedal box 90° sideways and it might even fit a BMW V8 (to be confirmed).
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

No booster. It's a twin MC booster delete kit with balance bar for front/rear adjustment.

I'm using a 2002 booster on my m3 for more then a yr now, it's the only booster that will fit without having to cut, shave, notch or superglue to fit the manifold. The MC will bolt right up along with lines. You just need to cut and weld the folk from stock e30 booster to 2002 shalf. Braking will feel very similar to stock feel because of the bigger brakes upgrade. I daily my M and brakes feel great!

I have been watching this pop up for the last couple of months and want to know more! I have your booster delete, a 17 mm Porsche 914 m/c and HP+ pads and it's OK but requires too much leg force for street driving. Is this available now or is it still under development?

              TIA

This new kit has the same caracteristics as a triple MC pedal box. It won't be easier on the leg than the previous booster delete kit. There's no way to remove the assist and expect the same reduced force required to brake. Racers will adapt their seat position to achieve best ergonomy when going to a boosterless set-up. Gold Gym is your friend. Also, using pads with higher grip is a great way to make it easy on the leg.

This kit is beyond development stage. I already started selling it and testing it in the UK on RHD e30 with S54 swaps. I am sold out one e30 kits but will have more in two weeks. e36 and e46 sets still available. I will actually have two short versions available for e30s. Horizontally and vertically mounted MCs.

Is it only available in the UK right now? I scanned your website quickly and didn't see it, I will look again.

Thanks, I am not making this a track car its an all around car that can track on occasion, autocross, and Sunday drive and I will not be the only person driving it so I dont want to go boosterless.

Looks like an awesome product though!

@ Staszek - If you want to retain full assist, I suggest you fit the hydrobooster from a BMW e23 / e28. It is very compact and gives more assist than a vacuum booster. Plenty of info on the net.

I suggest you also look for pictures of an e23 hydro booster. It is basically the same as e28, except it is moved one inch into the cockpit.
