Did you ever decide what to do with your rims? I just got a set back from http://www.rimrepaircenter.com/. They are in Chicago, but I am in DC, but in looking at their website and talking to them, you can tell they are pros. Around here everyone just thinks a crowbar and a torch will work. They came back beautiful looking. Getting them installed tomorrow... also, worth finding a place that uses a Hunter RoadForce balancer... you can google for shops near you. They do not touch the wheel with any metal during the process and have a better balance when done. My $0.02. The straightening and powdercoating was like $200 a wheel, I think. I am sending my steel snow tire rims there as well.
