    They are definitely for experienced drivers in the snow, but with decent winter tires in my opinion they are awesome (the better the tire the better the driving)
    You can always add a bit of weight in the trunk to help with traction, though with stock or near stock HP you should be able to manage
    There's not much stopping them, they are a lot of fun if you want the tail out action, and they make you a better driver because you have to pay attention and learn about car control and dynamics
    I have always driven them in winter, even hopped up ones
    My current DD (winters included) is a Porsche 996, I don't believe in parking cars, they need to be driven and enjoyed, they seem to treat you better too if you drive them - less problems
