I personally won't know where to begin. I have not had a "regular" physician since I was 15. I don't go to the doctor unless it is an emergency room visit which so far has been from motorcycle or car related accidents. Even then, very few and far between.

Not going to bother tracking all of my records down, don't care.

They asked me for my 2012 tax return last week when I went to pick up a prescription at my local hospital. I was not happy, I paid $30+ for the same prescription without a tax return.

OK, so what part of Obamacare is this terrible rant sourced from?

All my googling leads to conjecture from blogs, beck and other ****ty sources.

My understanding is that the IRS will only verify if you have insurance or not.

My employer pays most of my insurance they list the value of my plan on my return, starting with last year's W2.

^What does having a copy of my 2012 tax return have to do with verifying if I have insurance or not.

Why are you asking me? I have no answer to your situation, nor did I imply that I did.

Weird- I have to show proof of insurance and proof that I paid taxes on my car when got my license plate sticker for my car.

My state now requires a voter ID when I vote.

They still do a background check, fingerprints, drivers license for pistol permits.

The state seems to enjoy double checking on who you are before it gives/allows you to do anything. The banks and credit companies enjoy checking up on what you have before giving you a loan/mortgage. You can bet a state-run medical item would do the same.

Farbin- I would double check on why the hospital was asking for your tax return to fill a prescription. Walgreens down the street doesn't seem to have this policy, but they also probably have fewer people defaulting on work done. Should the Farrari dealership be able to look over your books before they decide to sell you a car? Well as a private/corporate entity, as many hospitals are, they might just have that right.

Not sure what that has to do with Obama- but you can bet if you are paying for something on the big gov tab they will be keeping a close eye on your tax returns and medical history too. And how many guns you have. And how many fishing licenses and parking tickets you get. 'Cant afford insurance' but makes 100k a year. Goodluck with that.

I guess it really isn't an abuse until somebody decides to not do your surgery, on the governments bill, because you 'are not worth it'.
