    M52 Single or Dual VANOS for turbo?

    I'm in the process of building up a m52 for my e30 with intentions of turbo down the track. I have both a e36 single Vanos head and a e39 double Vanos heads available. I am wondering which one I should choose.

    What are some pros and cons for each? And which one would you choose an why?

    And also should I bother flashing and tune the stock ecu or should I just go standalone from the start?

    You can't fit dual vanos head to single vanos block. The coolant flow and passages are completely different. You will need whole engine.

      Cant run Dvanos head on SVanos as stated above, you can however run Dvanos on a Svanos head with some work. I would run stock ecu as there are a number of setups offered that work great

        I've actually got both of the blocks available as well. I'm just trying to decide which one to commit to. Then sell off the other

          If you're up for the extra effort, go with the double vanos. Be different!

            Better/way more/cheaper cam options for single vanos. Tuning/flashing much more common/way more aftermarket support.

              Yeah I don't really intend on doing the tuning myself. So I plan on having it all professionally done. So im really trying to find out if there would be any benefits of having one over than the other?

              Yeah I'm not to sure about cams for dual Vanos. Do the s52 cams not work?
