    School me on how to correctly adjust e30 throttle position sensor.

    Hey guys. After installing my lightweight flywheel I was trying to increase my idle rpm with no succes.

    In attempting to do that I got my tps out of adjustment.

    Currently the stomp test does not work but it used too.
    According to Jim leive mastermind e30 motoronic guru
    A car with a bad or improper adjustment of the tps will not get a stomp code

    I have spare throttle body with a idle set screw and tps that has not been messed with and comparing the resistance test values they are different by a lot.

    I'm out on the road so I'm not in a position to look it up for you. Do you have a Bentley? The correct resistance is published there.

      I do have a Bentley was not successful in finding a spec in it thou.
      What chapter should I look in.

        Hmmmmm... I wish I had it in front of me. I promise you it's there. We used it to troubleshoot my sons drivability problems.

            New throttle body installed on the car with the 0.3 ohms at idle and 0.3 ohms at wot
            And the stomp test is working now!
            Plus 10 hp;)

              the ICV looks for a target rpm using a closed loop, i think you need to adjust the chip to get it to work properly. cracking the idle screw doesnt always work that well from a consistancy point of view
              89 E30 325is Lachs Silber - currently M20B31, M20B33 in the works, stroked to the hilt...

                  After Destroying the tps to take it apart
                  I have proved that the old tps was good just out of adjustment.
                  The way it's setup in this video I get zero ohms of resistance at idle and at wide open throttle
