225/50 on 15x6 et35....will these fit Ok or no?

I need new tires basically, would like to go with 225 but if that's too wide for this wheel/offset then maybe 215?

225 is as wide as I'd go for a 7" rim, let alone a 6". I'd go 205 on that wheel, or upgrade wheels.

I want to get 225s if they will be OK on it, if the RA wheels will sell I'll get the 15x8 wheels and would like to re-use the tires and not have to buy another set. That's basically why I want to go with the widest set :)

225 Hoosiers fit on a 14x6.5 stock wheel, so you might get them to fit, but you wouldn't see the benefits of the increased width.

whiltebeitel - thanks, appreciate your input. I am just concerned if the et35 offset will make this more difficult?

D-rock - Thanks :) They aren't the best but they do the job.

I'd bet you'd rub on the inside in the rear without a spacer, but Mystikal should have a better answer. This is providing you fit a 225 on a 6" rim. I would reccomend a 205 if you want to fit them on both a 6" and an 8" wide rim.

I sent him a pm. I see that most 225 wide tires can be mounted on 6-8" rim according to TireRack. Just worried if they would rub on the body....

i had 215's on my 14x6 steelies and it was terrible, like riding on ballons... maybe it would have been ovk for auto cross since the traction was ok, but nothing where your going thru long curves, it felt terrible

I just checked the front clearance between the edge of the wheel/tire and the strut and there is less than 1/4" of it. I don't think 225 will clear on this rim... damn it. The rear isn't a problem though.

Replaced the worn / leaking sunroof seals today. Bentley instructions were pretty clear on how to do it. The only difference is I used two seals instead of 1 long one, came out cheaper that way too.

Roll the sunroof back, unclip the cover, and roll the cover back into the roof. Remove the 6 screws, 3 on each side and remove the sunroof panel.

good time to clean everything up as well

                                I used 54 12 8 106 928 and 54 12 1 906 999 seals.

No wonder I could never take my car through a touchless car wash lol

I installed the shorter seal first after cleaning the edge of the sunroof panel from dirt/old seal. The 2nd long seal is long enough that you'll have to cut about an inch off

                                Hopefully wont leak anymore

Installed ellipsoids again, H4s were brighter than ellipsoids. Waiting on DDM 4500k hid kit to arrive, hopefully it will be a good improvement.

Weaves are gone, sitting on a temp (they are for sale) set of 15x6 BBS RA wheels.
