Read through a bunch of posts about the E38 Style 5 wheels ET23.

Current Car - 1991 318is Stock Suspension (no plans to lower yet)
    e30Rob 4x100 to 5x120 adapter is 20mm.

From what I've read it is very aggressive setup which requires a small tire 205/40/16 or fenders to be rolled and pulled.

If I have the wheels filled and re-drilled instead of using adapters will the fitment be ok? What spacers will I need for rear and front? What tire sizes can I run? Not a stretched tire fan.

      Thanks Mystikal!

Could I get away with 16x8 et20 on my
1988 IX with GC coilovers & camber plates?
I can do some fender rolling but don't want to get crazy.
        Thank you,

Might clear. Anything taller than around 24.3" and I flat out say no - some people have tried with success, some people are okay with the tire rubbing the fender well occasionally...but officially, I say don't do it. ;)

            Thanks!
            5-10mm front and 15mm rear. 205/50s.

I am looking at TR C1's 15x7 with Et25 and Hankook R-S3's 225/45/15. I want to wider foot print because I like to do lapping days at the track. Will they clear the struts and not force me to roll the fenders/run spacers? The car is on H&R race springs with Bilstien struts.
Yup, bolt them up and go.

The 8.5's come in a 20mm or 25mm offset, intend to run a 235/40R17 on the rear when im due for tyres next and im leaning towards running a 25mm offset on the rear to make sure the tyre will fit under the guard.

Anyone run a 8.5" front and rear? just trying to work out which offsets because 60mm of dish is pretty nice :D
17x8.5 +25 does not clear the front struts
17x8.5 +20 will not allow a 235/40 in the rear without heavy fender work

So you're either stuck with a setup that will poke too much on the front compared to the rear (+20F/+25R) or the staggered 7.5" up front.

I am lowered on h&r race springs, and im worried about rubbing.
Nope. You'll see plenty "have done it", but they all rub.

With a redrill you can run 215/45 or 225/45 on those wheels easily.

Yup, stick to 205/45 for tires.

I have a set of wheels that i did the measurement on but can someone do the math please on the off set number. The wheel is a OZ fittipaldi 16x8 5x120 and from the center of the backside of the hub up to the top rim lip is 5 inches. Thanks in advance. As there are no stampings on the wheel for the offset.

                            Widest tire? Performance minded.
