It seems that everytime i see 16x9 +15's, the car ALWAYS has coilovers... is there any suspension set up that works well with 16x9's yet isnt a complete monster truck, BESIDES coilovers? Maybe H&R race? IE3's? Thanks for any input.

No i know WHY people use coilovers, im just asking if there is a good spring/strut setup that will dump the car enough so it wont look dumb with 16x9's. Yet i need it to be not completely dumped so it rubs, since i cant adjust the hieght really except for spring pads. rwdrift, do you have any pics of your car with that setup?
Thanks for both of your guys' imput.

New shocks is almost a requirement at this point..... and you'd want short stroke shocks... but for argument's sake, lets say you cheap out and use Bilsteins. That's $400 right there. Your "conversion kit" is just for perches and springs.Erick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

Ed rocked a KW setup, I think he had deeper spring hats or perches to go a bit lower and clear the fender gap in the front...
Try and find a group buy on Ground Control through MPact Motorsports. When I got my GC springs they were $349 with any rates I wanted, saved a couple bucks...
I got lucky with my Koni S/A's but don't skimp out, like Erick said you need new shocks to handle stiff rates.
That is if you decide to go with coilovers instead of a simple spring/shock setup.Last edited by M42Technik; 01-31-2007, 08:49 AM.Reminiscing...
