English isn't my first language, so try to forgive any spelling mistakes.
Let's start with a little background of my car:
This topic ends with a rustfree car, a Dellorto'd M10 and a promise to have it painted by the summer of 2016.
This is where I am now:
But are we going there in a straight line? Of course not!
I will do my best to keep this short, but please try to stay with me if I drift off ;)
I painted the subframe, got some new control arms and a E36 steering rack.
I also cleaned the enginebay a little bit.
Then I decided that more power was needed, so i bought a really complete M20B25 swap.
I also got a new radiator support and installed it.
Alignment seems to be ok.
So I drilled some holes:
And installed these things: (don't know how to all them in english)
They seem to stick out quitte badly, but in reality it's ok. The front is now removable and everything still fits the way it is supposed to.
In the meantime I cleaned the interior (workshop get's really dusty) and moved it to my house.
And I installed the M-tech set.
I also bought and installed a lift in the workshop.
And decided the M20 has to go out again without ever running in my car.
Which brings us to the M52 swap!
I bought it of a local forum, it's ready to drop in a E30 and it has had a lot of preventive maintenance over the last couple of years.
It also came with a 3.25 LSD (40% lock, rebuild a few years ago)
So we tested our new lift.
And installed the differential and the engine.
This is how I left it in the shop yesterday. From now on I will try to update this topic a little bit better. Next up: getting it running and getting it painted!
