Was running exteremly ruff, but that was becuase I got the 2 lines on my Adjustable FPR hooked up backwards, It was running with 100psi of fuel in the rail for a little bit  I got those swapped around and it runs nice and smooth with a 700 rpm idle. The coolant system bled with no problems and I drove it around town for about 20 miles getting a feel for the new found power. I absolutely love it, chirps the g-sports in first gear accelerating no problem, and pulls like a train. The engine sounds so dang mean it's not funny, the thing revs like a bat out of hell. I have no idea what duration this cam is, all I was told is it's an aftermarker performance 325i unit. I haven't even hit the revlimiter yet as there just is not the need like the eta would always need to get moving.

Nice work, and damn fast too. It would have taken me forever. I'd like to ride in it one day.sigpicComment

it only took about that long when I did the m30 swap but I swapped it into my parts car first and got it running so all i had to do is drop it straight in and turn the key.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

any chance you'll do a dyno run? I'd love to see how the budget strokers compare. N/A M20s are fun! :)Comment

here the complete list
eta block
eta crank
eta pistons
eta head(ported on intake and exhaust side)
Dual I valve springs
Aftermarket I cam
I intake manifold, TB etc...
I exhaust manifolds
Full 325i motronic 1.3 setup
I only spend about $1200 on it but that included the wideband o2 sensor and some other stuff.
I'm going to throw a MAF on it soon once I get a 325i cat on it.
I'd like to do a dyno run on it sometime. There aren’t any shops here in town that I know of that have a dyno so I'd probably have to go down to Atlanta.
I'm getting ready to help my buddy drop a 323i head on his eta block, so we may both go in at the same time and see how the modified eta head does compared to the 323i head.
So far I love the engine, the vibrations at idle are a little obsessive with the urethane mounts but I'll live with it. I think my eta cat is giving to much backpressure, so I'm going to throw and I cat on as soon as I can find one.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

How's it running?
I got a little more work done on the head, and the cam finally came in. I actually have a junk eta head sitting in the garage as well, so I am going to find out how much you can take out of the top portion of the intake port before going too far. I was able to smooth out the pocket about 1/4 inch above the valve seat, and I read today in car craft that it helps a good bit. The exhaust side can benefit from this too.
I found that there is a lot to remove from the exhaust, but I put my gaskets up and noticed that it was a little off-center with the port. I was trying to cut using the old carbon marks as a guide and part of the port got cut off by the gasket. This time im also going to hit the intake and exhaust manifolds just a bit, then decide if im running the shorty headers i picked up.
ETA power!!Old and improved:

It's running great. I still need to free up the exhuast a bit, and do the MAF conversion. But having the power to pass without downshifting, doing hard runs with the AC still on, and being able to do 65mph in second gear is nice. I'm thinking of upping the rear end ratio from 3.25 to something not sure yet. Today I helped a friend put a 3.45 on his chipped eta and man does that thing take off. It just runs out of revs fast, where as I can keep going, and going, and going.....85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker
