Just a heads up for those of you that have relocated O2 sensors due to headers or any other reason. On my long tube headers and custom merge pipe, the O2 bung was all the way down by the end of the tranny. The stock O2 sensor wiring was too short even after splicing 2 stock connector lengths together, and I've never been a fan of splicing O2 sensors anyways.
The stock E30 325i oxygen sensors either have a 540mm or 640mm wire length depending on which year you've got (the 640mm version seems to have superseded the earlier 540mm version).
The E34 525i oxygen sensor, namely the M50 one from 1991 to 1995, has a 1450mm sensor lead. It's the same 4-wire design, and uses the same connector as late model 325i's (the one that screws together). It's the perfect length for those with long tube headers. It will probably reach the CSB for reference. The bung in my system is right next to the tranny output flange and I probably had an extra 6-8"+ of cable left over.
The part number you want is 11781735680 from a ~1991 to 1995 E34 525i with an M50.
Avoid the E36 M50 O2 sensor. Even though the connector is the same, it's even shorter than the original at 420mm.
