    My new 1991 325i Vert.

So this is my first official "intro" to my 1991 325i vert. I've been on here snooping at everyone else's cars and seeing what's for sale. Anyway, here is a summery of my purchase!

I saw this beauty on the side of a road that I usually pass on my way to work one night after Super Bowl Sunday and stopped to take a look. At the time, I had an old and super tired looking 87' 325i vert.....man, that thing was a hot fucking mess. I'm glad I bought this one and sold my 87' off to someone that would take care of her.

The guy I bought it off of was nice and greeted me before I could ring the doorbell. He said that he and his wife liked to take it around town on sunny California days but it was time to let it go. So we struck up a deal for $1,000!!

It's been almost 1 year since I've bought her and I have been fighting myself on which route to take on restoring her. I have since replaced the carpet and the top among a lot of small things...

Here are the details on her:

    1991 325i
    75k miles (now about 80-85k)
    I'm the 3rd owner
All paperwork came with the car
No accidents - tracked it back
Timing belt was changed in 2012
Chipped (I have to dig up who made it)
    Engine runs like a champ
    Automatic tranny (WILL swap)

Current plans are to swap out the tranny with a manual and swap the steering rack. More photos to come!!

    All suggestions and comments welcome.

    Thanks guys,

    David

Thanks guys! I was super stoked to get it for so cheap. I will post photos soon.

The front 2 seats were kinda rough so I swapped them out for some NRG buckets while I figure out what to do with the OG ones....maybe do some custom work. I dunno yet.

The flash doesn't help here but the front seats were too ugly for my taste. Wondering what the dude's jeans looked like!

Swapped them out for these....I'm already over the bucket style of seat but oh well...I'm going to start working on the OG ones once I finish a few other things. I ended up finding some custom FIA plates (Lee hooked it up with his company, Massive) that came with hardware to mount on oem sliders. Towels are on the floor until i get mats. It seems pretty hard to find new vert floor mats. Husko armrest came with the deal.

The dash and everything is crack free but I'm looking for tips on how to keep it that way. I know everyone's nightmare is to wake up and see a big ass crack. (P.s. anyone know what that button is for???)

Not sure if that's a "button." Perhaps a mount for a phone holder etc.

To keep the dash crack free? Get a windshield cover and don't use chemicals/protectants to clean it.
