Finally got my rear plate mount.

I am also having problems with spark plugs. I am trying to figure out the right ones at the moment and it is proving to be kind of a PITA.

So I had the power steering fluid flushed, also had a new fuel filter installed, and finally found the correct spark plugs. I also picked up a used alternator that I had rebuild to bring it back down to the correct amps. Everything is going good with the car minus a few random dieing out and a hard timing idling at warm up, which I attribute to having the wrong amp alternator on the car. Here is some pics of new spark plugs vs old:

          And the rebuilt alternator

Did some rust patrol today and well there is some good amount of rust on the hatch.

I am in the process of getting osfo, some primer, new trim, and some paint to try and slow it down. I am going to rock that for awhile until I can replace the whole hatch or have it fixed properly.

Found some more rust. A trip to the body shop is in order.

I am doing initial damage control and saving up for the fix.

Doing a little bit more work on the hatch today.

Also I found these doing a little cleaning inside.

Sorry I moved back to Florida this month so I am no longer out there. Though I was in San Clam down in Orange County.

Great job catching the hatch area rust! Definitely the weak area in tourings from what I've read.

Alpine is just perfect in tourings... More so than any other E30 I think

                              Enjoy!

Thanks, I only have a couple of hours to work on once or twice a week, so that is going to make it take a little longer than other people. Friday will be the next day I can work on it and that will be some bondo and maybe some priming. I also ordered new trim to fix the broken and damaged pieces. I really need to finish this so I can work on other areas like diagnosing my vacuum leak.
