    My e28 - 1985 535i (Semi Pic Heavy)

    Hey guys,

Been on the forums since I had my e30, that car is long gone. Picked up a '85 535i almost 2 years ago and this is pretty much how its come along.

    Whats been done to it.
    - H&R Sport springs (dead coil is cut on the front springs) and E90 drop hats
    - Bilstein shocks
    - 850ci 4 POT Brembo brakes up front
    - E46 M3 Shifter, with all new bushings
    - Full 3" exhaust with a resonator, its not that loud and sounds nice

The rear is now sitting on XYZ Coilovers, just waiting on the front to be welded.

    Onto the Pictures.

    When I bought it:

Then I bought a set of staggered Style 32's

    And then this happened

Story time - I was driving on the expressway in the rain, with bald tires. Yes, I am a retard. The rear tire hydroplaned causes me to spin, I tried correcting, ended up spinning smashing the front end against a wall bouncing off and smacking the rear end. Pretty much did a full 360. No other party was involved.

I wasn't going to let go of the car to easy, decided to get it fixed. The body shop guys said that it would be hard to get the cat back to that color because it was a custom mix, and they said a full color change would only cost $200 more.

Wasn't able to source a M-Tech front bumper so I bought a euro M5 Valance for now

Test fitting Rs's that I ended up selling to a good friend, and a member on here, Dannyyisntt.

And then someone ruined my hood and this is her current state.

Sitting purty next to my beater I picked up for $500

The car needs a new clutch and a new hood. The clutch is here just need to replace it when I get back from school.

    Thanks for reading

That seems like a great deal. Were you happy with the quality of the work? I'm thinking of getting a respray next spring. Was it in MI?

I'm happy with the quality of work they did. The owner is a good guy too, he pretty much let me store in the shop while I was looking for parts, which took forever. It was in Chicago, I only go to school here in Flint.

Nope, its still a clean title. I didn't go through insurance because they would've definitely totaled it, and then I would've had to buy it back and etc.
