Trading in my Volvo for a F30 3 series?

I want an F30 328i very badly.

Oh ya? They are nice, when i had my e90 328i I was given the new f30 loaner car and it felt much more relaxed.

I am kinda love hate on the looks.

So I had bought an 2011 328i sedan thinking this was the car for my family.

I started to really not like it for daily use. ( something akward about e90 design, i would much prefer E46.) I needed something with more space and some ground clearance. I turned to Volvo and found the xc60.

Now I feel like I want something a bit smaller and also less expensive.

Right now I would really like a smaller wagon but it needs to be modern like 2010+

I would lean more to a later model e90 328i rather then the f30. The e90 interior is a lot higher quality in my opinion and they just feel more solid.

yeh the 320 is rather unimpressive, feels more like a zippy corolla. 328 way better. They do drive nice however a bit light handed to drive unlike the E series Bm's. But coming from a volvo you would be used to that anyway

I actually spent several days getting out of my E90 and into an F30 loaner and versa visa.

The F30 felt like you get in relax set the nav and just go. The E90 felt more like a go kart. Im 6ft 4in so the newer F30 was much more comfortable and can handle uneven roads and potholes better.

I just want a simple wagon.. Any other thoughts?

totally agree with you there, there is a greater softness to the F series. The leather is softer as well. Both very good cars however just depends what you want.

I prefer the dash in the F series over the E90, it feels a lot less bulky and the screen doesnt take up half the dash.

and that steering wheel.. LOVE that steering wheel.

The F chassis cars are really awesome. The n20 is also likely the best non M Bmw engine ever produced imo but I'm biased because I sell them.
