    Getting fresh paint/bodywork

Got hit in the side while parked in the street in front of my house by a drunk kid.....

    Wife's driving...

My shop partner had his car fixed by a local who walked in here and saw the GM heads I was working over on the bench and we struck a deal. Bodywork/paint for porting/shaving big block heads :D

So he had the car last night after work, and I picked it up at lunch today. This is what it looks like now...

The air dam has a crack in it, so he's repairing that now, and I'll take it back to him this weekend so it can be left for a couple days.

What do you think about painting the bumper fillers to match the body? Anybody got pics of it? Perhaps later I will get the euro bumpers, but for now, concentrating on the exterior, getting the GM EM swap finalized so an i head can go on with a good tune behind it.

The verts actually had painted the bumper fillers to match the body from the factory. I say do it...it'll make your car look a lot newer.

Thanks! I really wish I had the euro bumpers now, but I'm getting such a good deal on the work, there was no decision to make :)

This is what it looked like before a woman drove it

It's getting better looking, I love the front spoiler but it wouldn't fit euro bumpers

Sorry. I started with current pics, then posted "before the carnage" pics. Post # 1 is the current condition, I'm a n00b :(

Right now also have temporary/skinny tires, got new ones on the way as soon as paint is done, the pics with the wider tires (and no tint) are old pics of when I first met her.

EDIT: Front spoiler is what came on it, and is going back on with fresh paint. The wife ran over a cat and it ripped the front spoiler off :(

What antenna? One of the neighbor kids hit it with a football, it's long gone now :(

Actually have a small "laundry" list of things to take care of, but one thing at a time ;) I replaced the stock radio with a newer Blaubunkt CD, and it surprisingly picks up a signal.

Looks like you need to take it off the street and don't let anyone drive it!

 I don't blame you. That was on there when I bought the car, and the first "mod" was license plate removal.

Here in FL, we don't need front plates and would like to ditch the frame as well, but since I really like the euro bumpers, not going to purchase anything for this one.
