    Miller War Chip tunes.

OK so I got my car back today and put in my WAR chip. I am trying to find one of the default tunes so the car will run. SO far all I have gotten is stuff that is way way to rich.
    SO
Anyone out there have a tune that they would like to share for a war chip?
I have the Gen 3 3inch MAF and 14lbs injectors and 2.5 exhaust with headers.

They closed the forum as far as I can tell. See the chip lets you download tunes from miller. However none of them ran right. Most all were way to right to even drive around the block. I have had a MAF for while and upgraded.

wait uve had the miller maf for a while and upgraded to the war chip and none of their tunes work. hmmm. btw was there an improvement in performance with the MAF??

im thinking maybe the miller chip wont be that great now. why dont you adjust the tune till its better. I have no clue how it works, sry i cant help. but i am very interested in this process as i want this product. what other mods do u have that u need the full tuning capabilities

I've heard of a few cases where the plug on the MAF has been inserted upside down, leading to very rich mixtures. Take it out and flip it 180 deg. It is easy to do as it can fit both ways.

Roll- Yes the MAF makes a HUGE improvement. So ya Ive had the MAF for a while and simply love it. Ya I would just adjust the stuff but Im not that good.
325iS-Nice name BTW. YA the MAF is plugged in correctly. It runs fine with the chip that Miller sent with the MAF kit.

Brody at Miller got me sorted out today. THe issue was that I had a 3inch MAF and all the tunes are for the other MAFs. SO he sent me the correct tune. Ill try it out when I get home and all should be better.

                        WOOORD! I also have an 87 325is
                        fast early models ftw!
I have an m20 so would I be able to get the 3in maf also? and do you have stock or upgraded injectors. im hoping with the war chip ill learn how to tune my fuel/air ratios and get power that way.

how much power did u get with just the maf do u think..and how much of an improvement is the tune once u got the war chip working.
'cause i want to be able to have a base tune thats quick so i can have time to figure out how to tune with my injectors

                          Fixed that for ya.
I have the stock in injectors. So the 14 PSi ones. I plan to upgrade one day. I have a full exhaust Headers and 2.5 mandrel all the way back.
I felt a HUGE difference with the MAF. At races the throttle was kinda more or less and on off switch and now i can vary it a lil.
The hardest part with the 3inch maf was getting it to the stock airboot. Which sadly is smaller inside diameter. So it kinda get choked off. But stilla huge difference. If you get millers pro street kit thing its basicly a 3inch maf with a long pipe for cold air. And well its all 3 inch.
If you order from Miller you can specify you want the 3inch maf and they will send you tunes to work with it. If not I can email you now.

Glad to hear you got it sorted.
With the demise of the Miller forums, it may be worth starting a thread to swap tunes etc.

                              +1 for a tune thread

I just got my WAR chip software installed on my comp and was looking through the tunes offered for a 173 ecu.. there's quite a few preloaded on there for the MAF upgrade, plus 3 for the PSIK, and 1 for the stock 173.. I got the PSIK also that I'll be installing this weekend - I'll do a full write-up along with some seat-of-the-pants reviews on the different PSIK tunes in there, then its off to the dyno for some fine tuning..
