G260 Transmission (n00b mistake)

Hi guys --- I have for sale a G260 5 speed that I just bought not even 24 hours ago.

I am selling it because I am a n00b and didn't know I needed to buy a G265 with a removable bellhousing for my custom Volvo project.

I paid $350 for this transmission and shifter assembly last night.

I would like very much to get what I paid for it OBO, or close to OR trade someone for a 265 with some extra cash on my part.

Anyways, I am in Tacoma, WA and am willing to meet someone to buy it, or you are more than welcome to get it from me at my shop here.

first let me say, very nice looking 242 project you got going on there. The early 240's were great cars, when they morphed up to the 940's they were still a good car. some of the mechanicals were finally perfect. But when they killed the 240-940 series, in my mind, that really was the end of fun and reliable volvos. ( still have ( wifes) volov however, 2000 s70, lowered, turbo up a bit)
so very nice looking 242 you got going ther, best of luck on it


funny how history seems to go round and round .
looking at this thread and the project really got me thinking about stuff
stuff in my past and now again in my future
and how its kind of neat to see it all comeing back and the interst it the old volovs and old bmw's

the volvo 240 series were alsways under appreciated cars and in my day, rerely being fixed up into something sporty, although of course mine awlays were , IPD and I were on a first name basis back then, now they would not know me from jack shi*

so now Im comming out of retirement
rebuilding an old 3.8 engine ( jag) for a guy after some fat hands screwed it up
going to work for some guys who want me to push the old bmw and volvo cars ( by appointment only)
and twisting wrenches on my own on old bmw motorcycles

intersting how thigs turn around, how history repaeats itself

get "re-born"
