1989 325...ix

Greetings! I got the car from a couple in Hartford Co., MD. It was his fiancee's dd for about a year or two. They pretty much kept up with the maintenance since they had the car and provided me with documents of the service history even from the owners before them. However, anything prior to 2009 I'm not too sure of. The guy had an e30 coupe of his own which he had done an engine swap. This car is all stock except for the air filter.

I just want to get some basic maintenance/repairs done. Eventually, I would like to do some modifications. I don't have access to a garage and am not as mechanically inclined as most of you but with research, advise I'll be ok and will be learning as it progresses.

I shot these photos with my Canon 60D, they are unedited but i think they look pretty good. Enjoy!

Checking out the car before I purchased it there was a surprise in the trunk,
the PO had no idea a Borbet wheel was in the back. Think I may try to get a complete set.

There is/was a slight leak coming some where. I lifted the carpet behind the front passenger seat and the cushioning was a little damp. I lifted that up and seen that the floor board was not flat. I had posted a thread about this before I think I called it "Hump on the floor" (lol, didn't think about how it sounded at first.) I think perhaps something was hit/ran over that caused the floor board to rise. As far as the leak idk

Anything I can do about the little rust on the floor board? don't want it to get worst.

This is what it looked like from the trunk, as if something had spilled

      Some photo shooting...

Sand it all down completely and make sure it's not a hole. If the steel is still good I would get por15 and paint it very good on both sides. Also those big plugs tend to leak and that causes the rust so make sure that plug is still good and sealed. I had to take all mine out and make steel patches.
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Thanks. It doesn't look too bad but I cannot be too sure. I will definitely do that.

pull the carpet over the rear floor vents. turn the heat on for and it will dry fast. also remove front seats. pull up carpet on driver and passenger side. hopefully no major rust. if so sand down, treat and apply undercoat or protective rust coating.

I'm having difficulty removing the front seats bc the sliding mechanism under the seats are broken. I cannot get to the front bolts. I have removed the rear bolts.
