Pop out windows

I bought a set of pop out windows for my 91 coupe. From what I read on the forums it was supposed to be a basic swap there were even supposed to be the original area to mount the latch bracket. So I lined up the latch and screwed in the screw and I hit nothing I tried a couple more times and still nothing, then I started looking.



I pulled everything back out and started lifting up the head liner. There were two cut out lines so I started digging at the insulation.



After digging for a while, I found that there were two oval open spots that I was drilling into. I can only assume that there are supposed to be inserts here, similar to license plate inserts that you are supposed to drill into.





The problem is I can't find a part number. Does anybody know a part number? Or what they use in the early model E30's to drill into for the vent windows?

Thanks vpilarrt and 355islandhopper. I need to order some stuff from pelican I will ad this to the list. I had a pm from someone who said they might be able to get them. I can't order until Monday anyway but that is one less thing off my mind.

uturn got me some of the clips I needed. I got them installed today I am thinking about doing a write up. I wonder if anyone would be interested?
