    Spark+Fuel but no start--S50

    :hitler: :hitler: :hitler: :hitler:

SO my S50 swap is coming near completion, everything is hooked up but I am not getting any spark or fuel.

I've tried switching out the wire for the ICV and CPS because they are around the same length and easily mixed up with no avail.

I've tested power on the brown wire coming into the fuel pump and that has no power. I've also tested power on the red/white wire coming out of the main relay on start, but nothing is coming from there, so as a result there is no power going to the green/violet wire for the fuel pump relay.

All the grounds on the car check out okay so that shouldn't be an issue.

    What's wrong with my carrr

Okay for no reason, the car starting getting fuel and spark now, but still no start. occasionally it sounds like it's trying to start but nothing..

Power on the brown wire? I very well could be wrong but I thought all brown wires on the M/S50 harness were ground.

BTW, I'm having the exact same issue with my nearly done M50 swap. Testing a new DME and CPS tomorrow in hopes it runs.

ECU came from a running car that I myself pulled.

Brown wire going directly to the fuel pump.

How do I test the CPS?

I tried testing my CPS but I didn't know which prongs to choose with the volt meter. Anyways I only got a reading with two of the prongs. The volt meter was set to OHMs and on the 200 setting. (the other choices were 2000, 20k, 200k, and 2000k) It read different readings from 30-130 (those are approximate numbers...) From what I understand it should read in the 500 range, but I'm not sure about my settings on my volt meter.

You are correct. I wish I could clarify which to test but a friend of mine is much more knowledgeable with electronics tested mine. Spec is around 500 I believe.

I got the correct setting and did a test. It showed up at 501.

Would a cam position sensor cause no fuel no crank?

just tested the cam pos sensor for ohms and it read zero. I had another laying around and tested that and it shout up to like 1,300 so IDK I'll go to the parts sore and see if I can source a Cam Pos sensor with a female end...

I've narrowed it down. The brown wire going into the main relay is getting ground. The red/white wire coming out of the relay isn't getting power at ignition or crank. This means that the DME isn't giving it the signal to give spark or fuel right?

First thing to do is swap out or at least clean your relay contacts.
