Cabrio front window gap adjustment?

Downloaded the Bentley manual and it wasn't much help. The front windows leak near the very front of the top. There was a screw that could adjust the tilt of the front windows but couldn't find a screw to adjust the height. The window brackets don't use bolts but silicone instead. It's a 92, maybe they changed from bolts to silicone

It looks like the regulator/motor has enough teeth left to seal the gap, but how can I make it relearn? Tried unplugging it while the window was down as well as up but made no difference. I know the PO changed the top with another used one, and the car it came off of had the windows adjusted higher.

Seems to indicate vertical adjustment. But I'm also wondering if my top seal is just shot. It looks a bit deformed

That's a great link thanks! Yeah my seals don't look great either, shoved a piece of an old 528i badge I found in the trunk from PO in between the seal and top frame, works for now lol.

Mine also does the same thing. I heard covering the seals in Vaseline helps plump them up a bit.

I found on my 92 mtech, that the link provided above did not apply to my car. Not sure if something changed around that time or not.

I found that there was an actual physical stop attached to the lifting mechanism that contacted an adjustable bolt on the door, when at the top. The bolt was adjustable up and down, thus letting the window rise more or less untill hitting it.

This is what my 92 has as well, but I noticed it only adjusted the tilt at the rear of the window. Problem I was having was towards the front half of the window.
