    3D printable Rear Ashtray Cupholder!

Howdy Folks! My name is Cameron, and I study Industrial Design at the University of Alberta. I was super tired of the typical armrest cupholder option for e30s and found that if you wanted a rear ashtray cupholder you would be paying upwards of 80 CAD, and there were no 3D printing options. Hence I decided it was about time somebody made an affordable alternative, so I did. I'm selling the STL files to make a little money for university (and saving up on the side for other personal projects), the file is only 17.50, and it only takes about 5 to 10 dollars of 3D printing filament to produce (Dependant on the material you choose). You can print it yourself, or send it to a local 3D printer/Online service. Hope you folks can make use of it. Link below!

When Shopping for a cupholder for my BMW E30, I found that my options were pretty slim. The main option is one that sits in the armrest area of the car, and I often find when using a 3d print of the same design that I hit my arm on the drinks while shifting. The other option is the rear ashtray choice, which sells for almost 80 CAD, which for a simple plastic slip-in feels a little steep to me. Hence I designed a simple 3D printable solution. There are 3 fitment choices, based on your needs -Tight Fit: Fits in super snug to your rear ashtray holder, it comes out with some pulling but it's pretty solid once you fit it in there. -Mid Fit: Still quite snug, but a little simpler to remove -Loose Fit: Should come in and out pretty easily, although the security of the drinks is not nearly as secure. I included 3 Glamour shots as well as the very first prototype printed at 240mm/s, use about 170mm/s for optimal results
