(FOUND) WTB Coupe, MT, any year in Philadelphia, PA Area

    Hi all,
I am looking for my first E30. I'm not super picky since it will be my project car. Specifically looking for items below:
-Minimal rust (absolutely no roof rust or floor rot)
    -Coupe
    -Manual Transmission
-Running and Driving preferred (will take rollers if the price is right)

Basically looking for a solid foundation that I can drive right now or soonish, and not be afraid of the rust so I can build it up into my dream spec eventually.

    Thanks,
    Jason

It seems like most east coast cars, especially this far north, have a lot of rust issues.

If you're serious, you may want to consider buying a car from CA and having it shipped over (or road tripping it with the best AAA coverage). They do cost a little more there, but there are also more to choose from. Having lived on both coasts, starting with essentially no rust is really nice. Shipping a car isn't too expensive, especially during the winter when people are waiting for better spring weather. You could reach out to some CA people on the forum to look at it / hold it for you.

Hit me up for a cruise when you get a car, I live in south philly.

I've thought about that a lot actually. I'm always just nervous about buying a car over the internet/phone/forums. I like to go in person to look at all used vehicles I buy from a private party. Also, what I'm looking for right now is something on the cheaper end (5k or less), so it narrows down my options a lot(shipping would be like 25% of the purchase at 5k or less). I think once I'm in a better financial spot, I'll be looking for a car in 10-15k range and will then be able to broaden my search for the perfect spec across the whole country, and take the risk of finding one with no rust out on the West Coast.

Also, I will definitely save your username once I get a car, and would love to go for a cruise. There is another dude near me who owns two(a touring and vert), so we could ride in a squad. I'm up outside of NW philly.
