Many thanks for the kind words. At this point, I'm going to turn it over to the pros in terms of finding the right buyer for the car. If it sells, it sells. If not, I certainly won't be shedding a tear (although I might if someone ends up buying it).

id say deal with the hassle of putting the kid in the back seat, its a nice beautiful car and theres no way in heck you can get get more than 10k for a 318 vert, even in that condition. and the note about 10k in insurance work doesn't sound great about how straight the body may be. you'll be sad for ever if you sell it.Comment

Agreed, on most counts. I wasn't very clear in my phrasing on that sentence about the paint work. The car went in for minor body work on the back end after a fender bender on the freeway (trunk lid, tail lights, rear bumper, bumper supports, etc.). Since that part of the car would need to be painted anyway, and I wanted the car to be flawless, we worked out the paint job as part of a cash deal I did with them and this was not reflective of how straight the body is/was. I did a favor for the service manager, and the paint job was part of his favor back to me. Besides a clean Carfax, I also have full documentation on what was done on the car including photos of the work, so I'm not that worried about a buyer feeling like something is being kept from them in terms of the restoration work that was done.id say deal with the hassle of putting the kid in the back seat, its a nice beautiful car and theres no way in heck you can get get more than 10k for a 318 vert, even in that condition. and the note about 10k in insurance work doesn't sound great about how straight the body may be. you'll be sad for ever if you sell it.
Some photos of the work being done here:
Billions of happy photos, millions of passionate customers. Gorgeous online photo albums. Protect your priceless memories. Buy beautiful prints & gifts.
Anyway, I may very well end up keeping it. This is a pretty rough economy to be selling any car, let alone a car with a small enthusiast following, so I am fully prepared for it not to sell.
