i am putting my M3 for sale. i am looking for 11,000. firm.
this is the info from the guy i bought it from a year and a half ago:
"FS: 1990 M3, Rebuilt Engine w/ less than 1k on new engine. MANY pics
________________________________________
$12,000 OBO takes it.
I bought this car back in July to add to my collection of M3s and to rebuild and make my garage queen. For now, that just isn't reasonable (long story short) and I'd like to sell it. Having 2 M3's in Colorado and no truck / beater just is insane.
When I originally bought the car it had supposedly sat for 3 to 4 months and the engine died on the PO consisting of a "clacking and sputtering". I towed the car home and found after dissasembling the engine that there was a hole in the engine block in the 4th cyl. on the driver's side by the starter. The engine was therefore pulled from the vehicle and fully rebuilt. I'm talking oil pan to valve cover. I replaced every seal, gasket, and o-ring. As well as a great condition block, crank, set of cams, and pistons. Everything was professionally cleaned at a machine shop prior to assembly and the engine was assembled by myself (I am a factory trained BMW tech). As it currently sits the new engine has about less than 1k on it.
Now on to the facts:
Chassis Mileage: 230,000
Engine: less than 1,000
Replaced since ownership:
-Tranny mounts
-Exhaust hangers
-Engine
-Barometric Sensor
-All typical maint. items such as fuel filter, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, water pump.
-New coolant temp sensor and sender
-Turner exhaust header studs
-T-chain tensioner with a S50 tensioner (it already had one but replaced it still)
-New steering wheel (old one was faded)
The car has:
-Eibach front strut tower bar
-BFgoodrich Gforce tires
-Spare euro gas can in spare wheel
-H4 headlights
The Bad:
-Tear in driver's seat bolster
-Ding in F/L quarter panel (see pics)
-Small "push up" in hood size of dime (see pics)
-Central locking works from trunk only (I have a lock rebuild kit I will include)
-Car was repainted by PO, I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 as I can notice it was repainted, but as you can see by the pics it's not really that bad at all.
-Small nicks in pass center console from what appears to have been the BMW cell phone from the good ol days
-Front seats need a serious reconditioning, I leatheriqued them but they still need some work. I wanted to put Recaros in but im selling it instead.
-SRS light stays on (dunno if this is normal or not, havent checked it out yet)
-Rear spoiler paint is cracking (see pics)
-Will need a valve adjustment after the first 2,500 miles. It has a slight tick right now, but I attribute it to needed the valve adjustment.
Now, I know that seems like alot of issues but I'd rather be meticulous and point out everything I see wrong with it before I try and put it up for sale. None of it is massivly expensive stuff and is me just being anal, I guess the pics will speak for themself."
Car Now:
car is still a garagae queen, i have only driven it about 5-10 times. proly around 200 miles on highway. the car has been in hibernation since last august. snow has not touched it. I have not had time to wake her up this year, due to the maintenance required to do so: oil, filter, cooland, plugs, gas tank drain, valves, etc...
the reason for sale is that i am trying to open up a new business and i am a littel strapped for cash due to construction cost, permits and a lot of other bullshit courtesy of achitects and city regulations. Anyhow, it is for a better future and she is for sale. :-(
Pics!!!

Thanks Guys!
P.S.
i also have an M54 3.0 for sale with ~30K miles, same reasons for sale.
