    How's that different for the E24? :p

Somebody buy this car off of him before he realizes what a horrible mistake he's making.

You better build that 6, I've never even heard of an E24 that makes 500+whp. Funny, because they're more than capable.

          Could I make payments?

I'd be happy to make them so you could fund your 6er project, slowly...8)

I realize that a lot of you guys don't like my idea, but I know I can always build another e30 down the road. If I do build another e30, it will be for track.

The e24 will be one of the sickest cars on the road when I'm done with it. Eventually I will buy a totaled e39 m5 and do a s62 with a 6spd swap, which would make it a MUCH better version of the original M6.

BTW I adjusted the price. For all those interested in the $7k price, I have too many higher offers. I don't want to put too much labor in taking stuff OFF the car, just to get it within that price range. I really would just like someone to enjoy all the time an effort I put into this car.

I also added that the car has a '97 M3 steering rack upgrade, with a poly urethane steering coupler.

No longer 7k, even at 8k I'm taking some stuff off. I'm not stupid, I know what my car is worth. ;)

For whatever it's worth, I think you're making a mistake, as well. I'm coming from an E34 M5 which I had an engine built for that made it stay dead even with modded E39 M5s and walk Carrera 4Ss on the track (it wasn't a fluke or driver problem, I did it to 3 different ones on the MoSport back straight).

The weight of these big boats gets old fast, and no amount of tire, power, brakes or interior gutting helps that (unless you want to start converting body panels to fiberglass). And recirc ball steering boxes SUCK. The M5 was a bit better than my 535 but it still sucks. Even the stock E30 4 turn rack felt a million times crisper.

If you really want a big, fast, baller car, save up for an E39 M5. No matter how much you do up an E24, it's only going to be baller to you and other fanbois. To the rest of the world it'll just be another riced out, old ass POS, and the resale value will reflect it.

I can always build another e30. I don't hit the canyons as much as I'd like to any more. I've never been to the track or an auto-X event, so I'm not too worried. I love the way e24s and e28s look, and I have the opportunity to build one the way I'd really like to.

Ideally I'd really like to drag race this car, and if the suspension is competent enough, maybe drift it. :nice:

Still not 100% on my decision. I may get an e28, since they're lighter. We'll see what happens, nothing is set in stone. ;)

Oh ok, I take back what I said then. I'm speaking purely from a track performance point of view. Building the car you did and not taking it to the track is a waste, you're right to sell it.

Consider an E34 M5 or E24 M6 too. The S38 is a very special motor.

It may be a wasteto you, but it hasn't been for me. I don't have the income to hit the track. It's been an extremely fun DD that I take to the canyons about once a month. I drive my car very "spirited" to say the least. :D

Hopefully I can build a sick e03 or 2002 track rat next when I can afford it. :pimp:

The s38 is a money pit, not worth the investment. I would only put an s38b38 in an e30 m3, otherwise it's not worth it IMO. I'm getting a complete Dinan 535 turbo set-up with a custom 3" downpipe, and a dyno tune by Dan Miller for $2k. At 9 psi the kit made 308whp/398wtq. That powerband felt GREAT in my buddy's e34! I will be upgrading the kit soon to a GT35r, a tubular manifold, and a new dyno tune. With that I should be making about 450whp/500wtq.
