    1986 325eS Coupe - Red - WA

I really hate to do this, but my wife and had a conversation about simplifying our lives. So the garage is getting cleaned, stuff is being sold/given away and we are eliminating one car. Unfortunately the one that makes the most sense is this one. This is the coolest/best/funnest car I've owned. It replaced an E36. So here is the rundown. It is also on craigslist.

Miles: 214k on chassis, 154k on motor

Engine: Stock with MarkD chip, BavAuto exhaust (very throaty)

Suspension: BavAuto lowering springs, Bilstien sport shocks. Front control arms and rear shock mounts less than 15k old.

Drive train: 5 speed, new shifter bushings, new seals, new OEM drive shaft ($1180 ouch!)

Wheels and tires: 15” gold bbs with new General Exclaim UHP tires, extra set of 14” basketweaves.

Exterior: red with a cool body kit (Kamei, I’ve been told), one tiny ding (you have to be looking for it) various paint chips. H1/H4 headlights. Skid plate.

Interior: Beige leather with some black highlights, momo steering wheel, stock stereo.

The story: Bought from BMWCCA Member with 200k on the chassis. This member had done a bunch of leak maintenance, control arms, rear shock mounts, and put the known good engine in. I (or Auburn Foreign Car) did the maintenance listed below. I love the car and hate to part with it, but I don’t really “need” it. I only need one vehicle to use/maintain and it makes more sense for that to be my truck.

    Recent Maintenance:
    207k:
    Head gasket (original resurfaced)
    Drive shaft and various seals
Shifter and tranny refresh: rod joint, mount, seals...

    206k
    New radiator
    Timing belt
    Water pump
    Various seals

    205k
    Oil pan (used) and gasket
    Skid plate

    200k
    New brake fluid
    New power steering fluid
    New rear diff fluid

    $4500
