I'm thinking about selling my M3. Mostly looking to gauge interest.
      thats his quote
ow i do like e30 m3 wish i had one

      1972 2002
      1997 e36 dinan m3 lots of mods 360 hp
      and a 1988 e30 super e
does that make me a noobi?
ow i'm a member to every bimmer forums
i was trying to help him out he would get more money if he puts the stock motor back in allot more money and he could still sell the m3 motor for good price.
would you want a 1974 turbo with a different motor?
thats what the e30 m3 has turning into by demand.
considering theres 2 e30 m3 forsale in cali on criags both 28,000-30,000
id say its worth putting back the stock motor wouldn't you

who said he has the original motor, or even wants to install it back into the car if he did have it? i don't care if you own every single BMW model there is, you are still an ass for coming in to this thread just to say those things.

by the way - just because a car is for sale for $30,000 doesn't mean it will actually sell for that much.

Good luck, OP, looks like an awesome car. I wish my swap looked that clean!

wow i try tell a guy he can almost double his money buy putting back stock motor and i'm a noob and a ass?his post says ""feeler and also i'm looking to gauge interest" .Im sure he put the motor cause the stock died and it cost around 4-7 grand to redo and the motor he has cost 1,500-2,700.
anyway not sure why you guys jumped on me for helping some one.did i get involved in a circle jerk a love triangle your life partner and friends battle.lol
I think i just stated facts .e30 m3 awsome car any bmw enthusiast top 5 dream cars.the collectable is very high on this car.it's no different than buying a 1970 454 ss chevelle with lt1 motor in it.Ill leave it be i was trying to be cool and help him so he could make double his asking price.I'm the last person to keep cars stock.i had a 1 of 104 ss lt4 camaro i butcherd to drag race and lost lots if i kept her stock. If he had the origanal motor 100% he put it back in to sell it.and yes they get 20-30 for them in calli they come and go.

The reason people have taken issue is that you saying that putting the s14 back in will double the value is pointless. Everyone knows that all original e30 M3's carry a premium, and I'm sure the OP is no exception. I don't know the car's history, but a common story is like you said, s14 takes a shit, someone doesn't want to or can't afford to drop 7k for a rebuild, and swaps instead. When that happens, have you ever heard of that person holding onto the s14 and waiting to have the capital to rebuild and then swap back? I haven't. Assuming he did still have the engine, the time and expense for the rebuild and swapping back will negate most potential value gain by doing so.

To the OP, the car is beautiful, and if I was in the market I'd definitely be interested. GLWS.

ow he said thinking about selling her 2.
                  this is a forum ?
It's a awsome car no doubt its worth th 15,000 no doubt
e30 m3 for bmw we all want it stock no doubt and gets highest price.
good luck on sale wish still putting a 7,000 rebuilt in it he still make atleast 2,000-5,000 on top . thats allot of money to me.i bet even the old blown moor in it he could get 18,000 and sell the s50 motor.
                  the car is clean
it's funny i'm usally the guy every one says why didn't you keep it stock.
my 2002 i'm selling i was turning into a alpina/vintage racer I could get triple the price if i left it alone.but i never planed to sell it i just need the money to fix my e30.

To the OP, the car is beautiful, and if I was in the market I'd definitely be interested. GLWS.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

A little back ground on the car:

I bought it a couple years ago as a rolling chassis. No engine or drivetrain.

I went with an S52 for a couple reasons, 1. I wanted torque. 2. I wanted to have full OBDII diagnostic capability. While still being affordable.

I spent countless hours reviewing wiring diagrams to make this work. I also retained the EWS systems, the key from the 99 M3 is stashed in the car and is needed to run.

I was going to ask about the OBD2. Pretty cool, so if you take the 99 M3 key out, it's kinda like a kill switch. Nice car. There is a market for swapped E30 M3's too. People are swapping engines all the time these days and this is a turn key car with the work already done. GLWS.
