WTB: 325e, es, i, is, early models

As the title states, I'm looking for decent condition early models. A 1987iS 5 speed would be awesome. Willing to look into automatics.

Have up to 4k to spend but am willing to look at cars under that or in beater livery.

Suspension and wheels do not matter, but car has to be a decent runner.

    Mods welcome.

Rust buckets need not apply (but I do understand the prevalence of small rust on most e30's)

Any color. But preferably schwartz or alpine. Interior must be decent.

    Euro or DB bumpers.

Willing to fly to pick up within reasonable return driving distance.

    Thanks,

    -Paladin

I have an alpine es auto that is a strong runner and in great shape. It is my daughters DD, but I just bought a 90 is that she is thinking she might want. The car was originally from cali so it has very minor rust just starting by the tails and none down under. The car has new bilsteins and brakes and rotors and feels very nice to drive. The AC works well on the freeway, but not so good around town. I suppose a charge is in order. It also needs a rack as it is leaking, but I have one ready to install...I haven't gotten to it yet. The interior is in great shape except for the usual drivers seat wear. It is tan vinyl sports. Already did a dash swap and new windshield. Also didn't know if you were going to keep the auto, but it was rebuilt for $1600 a couple of years ago. Dinan chip! If interested and willing to drive from Utah PM me and we can discuss further.
The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!
