    Philly Craigslist Find

This is the EXCACT car I am looking for. Why this guy wants $5900 is beyond me. I offered him $4000. Let's see what he says. In the meantime, if anybody is in the Philly area who wants to snatch up my dream car, then give it to me as a gift, I'll be sitting in front of my computer twiddling my thumbs

price is high, so is your offer. I'm sure you can find something better for $4k, just don't rush.

Hey, it's not like I can afford 4k anyway. However, I've seen good condition, late model ix's selling anywhere from $35k to 6k. But it also seems like the guy hasn't been spending much time on any of these forums. . . . .where he would realize none of us would buy it for that much.

I offered 4, he responded with 5. If I ever get the chance to go down to Philly and meet him in person, I'll offer him 3.

        We'll see.

        And yes, my search continues.

        FIXER UPPERS OK!! . . . . . . .within reason.

Nobody's giving nobody false hope, and nobody wasting nobody's time. This guy is going to take a LONG time to sell that car, at that price. I was throwing out offers, and seeing what bounces back. I know I have enough time here to either save the dough to buy the car, or wear him down, and offer him less.

But in the meantime, I keep looking.

Never make an offer on anything unless you got cash in hand. You don't know if that guy make just say fuck it, and take your offer now. Then where are you going to be. You're going to look like an ass.

I say this, because I've been where you are now.

Hmm, not sure. I asked the seller a few mechanical questions but he hasen't answered them. If I was really going to go see the car, I would find someone in the Philly area to see it with me.

Thanks for the tip. I will keep that in mind, when and if I see this car.

Oh really? Jackass like you make me sick.... You throw out an offer and you don't even have the cash. It's not to much to ask to be straight up with someone and say, hey! i'm tight on cash or i can have it in this amount of time. But no, give them an offer and start lowballing them on their car with funds you dont even have on you. Thats just wrong. I like how "Norwegiandane" put it.

Wooooaaah!!! Easy there big fella. Maybe it's time to take a break from the car forums and spend a little time on the porn sites. Remember this. You were not part of the original conversation I had with the seller of this vehicle, and you do not know what went down.

It is very possible that I explained my entire financial situation to him, and it is very possible that he responded positively. It's possible.

It's possible that I explained to him A), how much I've been seeing these cars for on average, B) Based on that, how much I'd be willing to offer, and C) that I currently don't have the financials to make the purchase, but if my offer is good, to keep me posted on the sale of the car. And if it doesn't sell by the time I have the money, I would be interested in speaking.

And it's also possible that he responded very friendily with a counter offer, and said he would keep me posted

I see you are a moderator and I respect you for that, but don't jump down my throat, call me a jackass, and tell me I make you sick, when you don't know that half of what went down.

                              Thanks! Love your forum!
