FS: '91 318 iS - Sterling Silver, Euroweaves *NYC* *MANY PICS*

    [SIZE=12]SOLD

First some history on the car. This is my first E30 which I purchased in April, 2010. PO was an E30 enthusiast who had it for a few months before selling it to me due to cosmetic issues that it has. Car was traded into BMW dealership in upstate NY by an older woman for a new BMW. According to carfax, she was the only owner. I do not have any service records from the lady, and PO did not do anything since it runs great. More on this later.

    Specs + Goodies:
    1991 BMW 318iS
207,0XX Miles (hit 207K this morning)
    Exterior: Sterling Silver
    Interior: Black Vinyl Sport
    5 Speed Manual
    LSD
US Ellipsoid Lights (installed by me 2 weeks ago)
    M-Tech 2 370mm Steering Wheel
    15" Euroweaves
    Sparco Strut Bar
    Funky BMW Shift Knob
    *Clean Title*
    *Clean CarFax*

    Maintenance:
1500 Miles Ago: oil change, Brembo blank rotors, Hawk HPS pads, Timing Chain Tensioner, Spark Plugs
1000 Miles Ago: front sway bar end links
100 Miles Ago: Replaced cone filter with an airbox + new air filter

    The Awesome:
    Runs VERY strong
    Interior is MINT!
You can see everything else in pictures.

    The Not So Awesome:
All four tires need to be replaced soon (I can help you get new ones at a good price)
Rust - You will see in the pictures that there is some rust in the usual places. There is NO rust under the battery. All rust is photographed.
Sunroof missing headliner and is different color.
You need to fill it up with gas slowly, otherwise gas shoots back (I can explain this better on the phone)
Other misc cosmetic issues that you will see in the pictures.

    Reason for selling:
I love this car, but I am ready to move up and get a nicer E30 that I want to turbo :)

    PRICE:
Lets start at $SOLD OBO However, it will include stock airbag wheel, 14" Basketweaves, and NO strut bar.

    Possible Extras:
E30 M3 Springs that I did not install yet
Brand new Rear Shock Mounts that I did not install yet
IS Lip + RC Ryan Splitter that I did not install yet
If you want the above mentioned items, we can work something out.

I WOULD LIKE TO STRESS THAT THIS IS OR BEST OFFER SO BE REASONABLE, AND WE CAN WORK SOMETHING OUT

I CAN HELP WITH TEMP PLATES AND TRANSPORTATION

That's a pretty steep starting price w/that rust...I bet you could do better for yourself selling off the desirable stuff then sell the car without that stuff for a more reasonable price. You're right though- that is a nice interior!

        good luck with the sale!

You would be better off parting that out homie.
To be honest, you should be happy to see 1k out of it as a whole..

Good luck with sale either way..

Damn, if you get that much for it, I'll sell my 318iS for 7.5k.

Besides all the rust, it looks like a solid DD. GLWS!

I have to agree with everyone. I paid 1850 for a 89 325ix that has a extremely minimal amount of surface rust in one small spot inside the driver door, 200k and is a far nicer example than this ( no disrespect intended ) and is otherwise in as good of condition as this car.

3k might be realistic if you fixed the rust, but even then you would have to find someone who was completely in love with this car who was in a " I have to have this car " mindset

Honestly, I would prefer to keep the weaves and m-tech 2 for my next car, but since they are on it right now, they will be included in the price. I have NO problems keeping all the extra stuff and selling the car for a lot cheaper.

Yes it is! Was a bitch and a half to install the strut bar, but was well worth it!

I dont see why you cant sell yours for 7.5K. Its all about how much people are willing to pay...

and how much did you already invest in your $1850 car? I wouldnt be surprised if you are close to $2500 with just maintenance parts.

I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND YOU THAT THIS IS OR BEST OFFER. IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT THE CAR, WE CAN WORK OUT A DEAL

Does the A/C work, important question this time of year.

Actually the car needed almost nothing, fixing the rust cost me 250 dollars and swapping out the oil pan and and new gasket was free off the parts car for my race car...

It truly depends how far someone wants to fly or drive to find the right vehicle. Now Im not trying to say that your cars worth a grand. As I said in the above post fix the rust and I think you have a 3k car. Even without the rust fixed its still a 2500 dollar car. I was lucky and got the guy substantially down in price because was hard up for money.

Could you get more pics of under the car? Do you think it is safe to drive with all that rust, I notice that is has rusted out at the location that the rear subframe attaches.
