Considering he's not very bright in the first place, I'm guessing he didn't exactly get a "deal," on this vert when he first bought it.

I'm guessing the engine is between $5-$8k add up installation and misc...over $10k easy installed from the dealer.

I've invested way over $23,000.00 dollars in this car and everyone except for a few love this design that I created. I was tired of seeing 1 color BMW. If you read my update on this car you will see that I've also had BMW install a new Heater Core And Heater Fan. If People have ever started from Scratch and redid a car to the point I have done they understand. Besides the paint Job and the spoiler I just added and the flower designed window decal on the windshield, it is mostly all stock. I've never had a kid or woman say to me they did not like it and 98% of the men who comment as I drive around say it's awesome, even the mechanics who saw it finished from BMW Loved it!!. I have the original sticker. I am probably going to trade this car for a building He wants $2,000.00 dollars to boot, but I have not seen the up town building yet. I am planning on buying and designing more of this same convertible changing and adding more stuff like angel eyes headlights. Side molding and rubber bumper add on But I'm going to stick with my designed stripes. There are no decals on the paint. Yeah it’s a 1 of a kind design and I like it too. To each his own opinion, build your car the way you want it’s a free country.

It makes me wonder where people get the idea that they can sell a $3000 car for $20000.

No I'm asking $20,000.00 for a car I invested over $23,000.00 plus my time I added new pieces too it. If you find a car That BMW put a new engine radiator hoses heat core and fan motor in it, plus fluids' and water pump. That alone was over $9000.00 where are you getting $3000.00 from? then add new rack & pinion new tires new distributer new spark plugs new fuel pump new window and trunk sills, new starter new plugs new plug wires new hood stay new paint new seat covering hand made over $5000.00 just in paint and seat covering and carpet and lots more, + the original price I paid for to just buy the car, how do you even think of $3,000.00. Now if you want to go to eBay and find an old 1990 BMW what ever you pay for it you will have to have it shipped also. Let's say you find one for $1000.00 is the Head gasket Cracked? probably, good luck with that!! Now make it look like mine for $3000.00 Right!!!
