    Guten e28 Project Elvira

Time has come. She was named Elvira for a her black feature and red complimenting pieces.

$OLD and she will go with you after Gfest(7.25)

What started as a daily driver project has turned into the nicest car we've built. Ended up using 4 e28s to build the final car.

The end chassis is a 1985 230k southern car.

The engine had 130k when pulled for freshening.

Since finishing I have put on 500 marvelous miles on the car. The car is tight and a blast to drive. It is not a concours car. Majority of the body is original paint. The dash is cracked, there are minor dings and scratches.

True to the original objective, its a great daily driver. I have driven to the beach, MeatPacking district in NYC and to Home Depot. With equal comfort for getting looks and not panicking about leaving in a public lot with concern over getting dinged.

Details on the 6 month build here.

I stopped by Guten earlier this evening and have to say this is one of the nicest, cleanest E28s I've seen in a while. The stance on this car is perfect. It drives as good as it looks, with the M30 pulling hard to 90+ MPH (with the A/C on!). The combination of the Miller MAF, 3.73, IE exhaust, and suspension really wake this car up. Yes, it's pricey, but try finding another E28 in this condition with all the maintenance and upgrades done.
