    F/S 88 M5 Track car w/ spare s38b35

WBSDC9302J2791901 Blk over tan(natur) 154k of sheer rawness. I bought the car as a track/hpde car. it has seen Lime Rock track in May 2010 with me and the PO has taken it to Monticello race track two years ago. He sold it to me because he was laid off due to "company downsizing" and shorlty after that landed a job over in california. he wanted to but couldn't afford to bring the car with him. that was 2 yrs ago and i've owned it ever since. The only thing stock on the m5 is the motor and drivetrain, headlights and tail lights.

Suspension Ground Control coilovers ans koni struts. Dinan front and rear adjustable anti sway bars with new rear mounting tabs welded. Adjustable front and rear camber/toe kits.

Exhaust s38b35 stock exhaust manifold to vsr1.com high flow mandrel bent cats to B&B triflow muffler hung with correct B&B exhaust hangers.

Engine completely stock with exception of Frank Fahey crank hub.

Brakes Porsche 997 calipers and rotors up front. e34 m5/540i calipers and rotors in the rear. I still have original brakes.

Wheels/Tires 17x8 Rondell Contours, Falken FK 452s 225/45/17. I may keep these wheels for my street m5. i have a set of concave 17x8 millie maglia wheels that are a lot lighter.

Interior of the car has been stripped with exception of door cards and glove box. Sparco Evo III fixed shell racing seats were installed along with Schroth racing harnesses. Carpet, rear bench and trunk carpeting was removed.

I'm selling because i was able to buy back my 91 325is and am going to make a sick track car out of it. Also I'm thinning my fleet because i have another kid on the way. I have an 02 audi allroad blk on blk 100% stock with 6spd and 77k thats for sale too. Ill def be at Gutenfest on the 25th with the track car for those who are interetsed. I've done business with Levent earlier this year. I sold him the rolling e28 chasiss he and Turk have turned into a masterpiece. he can vouch for my character and honesty. link to pics: http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/d...car/?start=all

the car was gone thru completely by Mario and his staff at www.vsr1.com here is some invoice link: Inv_4782_...pdf

I also have a spare s38b35 motor with 40k on it from a conversion i abandoned a few years ago. i have compression numbers fron when it ran and donor 88 m6 vin verifying mileage. i have to dig it up. im asking 13,500 for everything. my asking price is a starting point, which i think is fair and is negotiable. I absolutely will not part out the car. if your looking for sport seats i have a set of recaros ill sell you. if you want the spare motor pm me and we'll discuss it. Again I'll be at Gutenfest with the car if you wanna check it out.

I'd love a nice E28 M5 when i get back to the states as they seam to be more readily available over there than here in Europe.

this looks like a perfect candidate for euro cloth inteiror if somebody wanted to de-tractify it a little bit.

How is the body? any rust issues?

I doubt it will not sell quickly, but I'll be interested in it in Feb when I move back stateside.

Just got back home from Guten Shop. showed the car off to L to get his endorsement! Car performed flawlessly and im def gonna miss it. theres no rust on the car and the frame is straight and tight. I do suspect that sometime during its life it was painted. but then again wut car isn't these days.

Car is a beast. That's all. I could stare at that engine all day long. The suspension is magical. So damn tight. Talk about a joy ride.

                      Exhaust Q.

Beautiful Car. Wish I had money....
But I have a question about the exhaust system.
I would love to know if they car is overwhelmingly loud. I have an 87 M6, looking to do that exact same set up.... I have heard that the BB exhaust is extremely loud and droning due to 'glass packs'.
                      and
How do you like the VSR middle section?

                      Thank you, PD!

Thanks for the compliment on the car. the VSR cats are very well constructed and are less restrictive than stock. it def a good upgrade, plus it has an o2 bung for the oxygen sensor. the triflow or BB muffler is the first i've ever owned, it came with the car. it's not too loud in my opinion but it def has a throaty noticable growl. last May it passed decibel test at Lime Rock Park, i did an open track hpde there. if i'd do it over i'd def get a stebro exhaust because it sounds much better. i have it on my "street" m5 and i love the burble it produces. My asking price of 13k was a starting point for car and motor. id sell the car seperately for much lower.
