FS: '87 Zinno Red 325e in Chicago

    Sold

I bought this car in May of this year to get to and from an internship I'm doing this summer. The internship's almost over, so I need to sell it because I have no need for it during school. Almost 213k miles right now.

The last two owners did lots of work on the car. Here's a list of the work they did from their FS threads. All of this has been done very recently:

-New tierods & alignment done by A&L
-New tstat done soon after I bought it
-New diff fluid (castrol syntec 75w90)
-New pads and rotors all around... OE stuff from autohausaz.com
-Brand new Ebrake assembly on both sides (not including cables... so
shoes, adjusters, etc.) so it works perfectly fine right now
-Basketweaves with all four centercaps in working condition (one or
two could use new bmw emblem stickers) and tires with almost full
    tread.
-Brand new hood release cable (old one was rigged up and snapped)
    -new windshield washer nozzles
    -newer ICV
-window switch that works (rear pass one didn't work when I got it)
along with a few other switches that are cleaner/work better
    (flashers, etc.)
    -New/used low beams
-I took off the foglights since one didn't work and one was cracked/yellow.

    Timing Belt
    Timing Belt Tensioner
    Water Pump
    Camshaft Seal
    P/S Belt
    Coolant Flush
    Valve Cover Gasket
    Rocker Plugs
    Valve Adjustment
    P/S Pump (used pump)
    Cold Start Valve fuel Hose
    Fuel Filter
    Distributor Cap & Rotor
    Plug Wires
    Coil
    Spark Plugs
    Oil & Filter

    New leather shift boot
    New shift knob
    Trans Mounts
    Motor Mounts
    Shift Selector Seal
    Shift Bushings
    Driveshaft Flex Disc/Guibo
    Center Driveshaft Bearing
    Driveshaft Centering Bushing

    Generally a good, solid car.
Nice steady idle, pulls right to redline, no problem.
Does not burn oil or smoke in any way
    Recent exhaust and cat
ALL the parts and labor above
AWESOME transmission. Smooth upshifts and downshifts
    Clutch feels great
    Clean interior
    Crack-free dash
Gauges seem to work fine, including ODO
Remote entry/alarm system installed in 2006
    Newer CD/Stereo (and possibly speakers?)
I also have detailed service records.

    Current issues with the car:

    • Driveshaft/CSB makes a rubbery thumping sound if accelerating quickly around 18-25 mph. Needs to be replaced eventually. Shouldn't cost more than $150 in used parts if you replace it yourself.

    • -A/C doesn't work.
    • -Antenna snapped off while I was driving on the highway. Radio
reception hasn't changed much for me.
    • -Some of the sensors are broken. "Coolant" and "Brake Lights" warning
lights sometimes come on even though coolant levels are fine and brake lights work.
    • -Small oil leak, no more than a drop or two a day. Not sure what
      the exact source is.
    • -Rust in a couple of spots: driver door, small stuff on the hood, rear
license plate lights, other spots (see pictures)
    • -Faded paint on some areas.
    • -I idiotically hit a curb in my work parking lot at 6 AM. The
affected tire has a bad sidewall tear and there's a minor flat spot on the
wheel that should be easy to fix. Currently I'm using the spare.

    SOLD

Terms of sale: This car CANNOT be picked up until the afternoon of
Thursday, August 19th, which is the last day of my internship.
Ideally I'd have it handed over to the buyer on Friday the 20th or the
morning of the 21st. I leave for Champaign (school) that weekend.

jack up the rear end (both wheels off the ground) and spin one wheel. if the other spins the same direction = LSD.

put one tire on something slippery like wet grass and floor it. if the grass tire spins by itself = no LSD
