Wanted VERY CLEAN E30 manual convertible

Hey guys, I hear this is the forum to come to help with our search for an E30 convertible.

My husband and I have restored a number of vehicles over the years and we're targeting an E30 as our next restoration project. We've learned from experience that it is definitely worth spending a little extra to start from an accident free one or two owner car, rather than thinking "oh we were going to paint/replace interior etc." at some point anyway.

Thinking that many of you have your radar out for new vehicles, I was hoping to follow this forum to see if any meeting our criteria. Here I mean manual trans, 2 owner max, clean carfax, all numbers matching, no repaint or evidence of accident, just the normal wear and tear experienced by a driver that would have loving serviced the vehicle.

Thanks in advance for any help and/or assistance you may be able to provide!

You sound like you are looking for a car that doesn't need to be restored to restore?

That observation out of the way I have an outstanding 89 with 108k. Zinno with natur leather. No restoration needed. 1 1/4 panel refinished excellently, and all other paint original :-D

Not restored would be a better description I think, as I plan on keeping it for awhile so it will be restored. It's all about the starting point.

Your vehicle sounds nice, and if it's the red one in your photo set we're on the same wavelength - although I'm in SoCal.

If you thought I was offering the one I have uploaded pictures of you'd best be running to LAX!!

But alas you may not have my turbo, 6-speed 93 cabrio.

You are able to buy my 89 bone stock Zinno Cabrio however for $7000

Just wondering, why a 2-owner max? What difference does it make if it's been owned by 2 or 4 if it's what you're looking for?

Thanks for the link to my Mtech, Barry. Sale is pending but I have yet to receive any deposit on the car. It is currently priced at $4,900 firm as-is or $5,400 with a manual tranny swap which can be completed quickly.

Anna-I'm in Santa Monica if you want to come and see the car. It's getting an oil leak fixed at my mechanic's shop right now but it should be done today or tomorrow.

                Thanks,
