    FS: 1986es 5spd (327i conversion)

    # Name: Rudolph Cuffee

    # Location: Chesapeake/Blacksburg VA

    # Means of Contact: PM/EMAIL/7573384564 (TXT or CALL)

    # Description: I have for sale a 1986 bmw 325es. In late july i thought i had blown a gasket on my way home from work. I bought EVERYTHING necessary for a 327i conversion which includes:

    -nice 90k mi 325ix head
-87 325i engine harness, direct fitment and no cutting necessary.
    -late model DME (525ECU)
-325i intake manifold w/fuel rail and injectors
    -325i intake boot
    -325i afm
    -325i crank pulley/trigger wheel
    -325i 'T' shaped ICV
-All new gaskets (intake, exhaust, head (goetz), cam seal, valve cover )
-All new timing belt kit with tensioner which includes new tension spring & assembly
-All new exhaust studs with nuts
    -New water pump with gasket
    -New Tires
    -New Battery (gold from advance)
-New driver's side wheel bearing (replaced by sports & imports)
    -Inspection up in 05/11
-clutch recently replaced (according to previous owner)

The only problem is i have yet to put everything together. When i finally took the head off, this is what i found:

Only thing that is needed is a nice b25 OR b27 bottom end. or maybe you could get this bottom end bored out and get another piston/rod. I dont have time to fix this being in school at virginia tech. If you use a b27 bottom end, you would actually have around 2.8L of displacement... if you use a b25 bottom end, youd have a nice reliable set up for years.

    Pics of car:

    original engine

this car was involved in a minor front end collision in 2001 as to why the front es spoiler isnt present. it was also repainted due to that. the body work that was done was pretty good. just dont have that spoiler.

    Features:

-Fully functioning electric door locks(both doors and trunk)
    -Electric windows/sunroof
    -pop out rear windows
    -grey/black hounds tooth interior
-NEW Pioneer Head unit with NEW rear sony speakers (kick panel speakers are in good condition too)
-Air conditioner compressor is bad, but heat works fine.

    # Price: 1500 FIRM. I have more money put in this thing from parts i collected and original purchases. Have receipts! Definitely a good car, i want to keep it but i have no time to fix this thing as of now :(

**The car is INSURED and TITLED to ME**

foot notes: car does not run or drive, car was going to be converted to 327i, selling whole as project car (1500) or trade

yeah i hear ya, man. God, if you put this up in june or july, i would possibly consider getting the truck and trailer ready... i just love the black and chrome. it's so quaint.

how's the rust? ever had it in the air, to look. how many miles on the chaise? how's the interior?

Sorry if I missed it but was that caused by a timing belt snapping?, huge amount of parts, GLWS.

i believe it was valve float of some sort. the exhaust valve got damaged and actually broke off. i cradled the car home a few miles from the initial blow which caused all that pitting in the cylinder bore, cylinder head, and made that hole in the piston. I dont know what could have cause that valve float though; i wasnt even redlining...

Might be better off selling the car and parts separate. Sucks you have to scrap the project, but might be better off with another e30 you can DD :D

Good project car for someone who can swap a motor perhaps...

yea, this reminds me of when i was doing stuff to my m10. always got close to turbo charging but always changed up midway through and sold everything. went supercharger, then changed midway through and sold everything. something always creepin up that kills my plans.

im also thinking of going back to 4th gen fbody...i wanted to push that 60 degree some but had to sell it. it was the best car i owned (aside from my first car; a modded 84 318i) i havent gotten any nibbles yet so most likely ill still ahve this thing for a while hahaha :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:
