This is an ideal car for anyone looking for a dedicated track car or Spec E30 race car. The car was built in March of 2008 to then current Spec E30 rules and has seen 10-12 track events and auto-crosses. It has never been raced. Since starting a new business venture the car has been sitting idle. I foresee spending more time on my business in the near future, leaving even less time for the track. The car is a blast to drive, my loss your gain. The car’s last event was an SCCA autocross in May of 2009.
You would have a hard time buying all the parts I have on this car and building it for my listing price. All parts were installed in March 2008 or later. I have a stack of receipts a mile high from Pelican, Harrison, Tuner, and Bimmerworld, but here is what I can remember off the top of my head. :

Water pump
Distributor cap and rotor
Plugs
Valve cover gasket
Intake boot
Ireland poly motor mounts
Spare Motor – Spec E30 motor:
M20B25 - I motor
Came out of a running car and has never been on track. The car ran well on a test drive. The car was used as a donor car because of severe rust.
Needs oil pan
New Tune up kit in boxes: water pump, timing belt, cap, rotor, plugs, oil filter(s)
New Parts For Head Rebuild (just for peace of mind, not needed):
Head gasket
Head bolts
Rocker arms
Inner valve springs
Outer valve springs
Retainers
Valve seals
Other random new parts:
Crank scraper
Fuel filter
Fuel pump
Radiator
Hoses
Random spares:
After 6 e30’s in the past 3 years, I have accumulated everything from interiors to sub-frames. If you need it, I probably have it and will cut you a deal.
What it needs to be Spec E30 Legal:
Exhaust system – currently has an aftermarket exhaust that is not legal
Fire system – I have an extinguisher, but it could use a full system
I motor needs to be installed.
Roll cage padding
Window net
Body:
I lip rear spoiler – not installed
I lip spoiler
Sunroof removed
The Bad:
The car had a quarter panel and front fender repair at some point in its life.
The paint is faded and chipping in some spots
This is definitely not the most beautiful E30 out there, but it is built very well and runs great on the track. You can run this car hard and not be afraid to ruin your $5k paint job.
