Everything else you need to know about this car before you contact me....READ:
I bought this car August 30th. As of today, November 5th, I've put over 5,500 miles on the car without the least bit of a problem. No issues what so ever. This car is very reliable. Between driving over 5,000 miles its never gotten worse then 27.3mpg and a peak of 33.4mpg. Between being reliable, a 4door, and good gas mileage, this car hit the spot of me needing a perfect daily driver while I was between fixing cars. I bought it off a fellow BMW enthusiast as well as BMWCCA member. When I rolled into his driveway it was sitting among 4 other BMWs. He had kept great records of the service history being that he spent most his time commuting from Richmond to DC or to Maryland, he made sure the car was always in great shape. The car recently had the profile gasket replaced as well as tires and brakes. I'm getting the car inspected this month, so it will have a fresh sticker on it.
I know E30's. I've owned a few of them and been around them for a long time. I know what to look for and when I bought this car I knew it was a solid car. I'm very happy to have owned it, but the ONLY reason I'm selling it is because a good friend of mine is selling a '89 325i 4dr that I can't pass up. I bought a 318 for the gas mileage and I know I'll regret selling it eventually, but right now I need to get back to a 325 to be happy. If I can't buy the 325i from my buddy, I will not sell this. I will gladly keep this car and continue to put 3-4k miles on it a month without problems.
Modifications:
- NONE. It's stock, and in great shape.
The most recent maintenance:
- Fresh oil change
- New rear brake pads and rotors
- New tires within 6k miles
- Profile gasket
- Tune up
Exterior: 7/10.
- From 10 feet the car looks great. Up close you will notice the usual 160k mile blemishes. A few dings, nothing major. Paint scratches here and there. It's not a show car...its a reliable, cheap, daily driver...waiting for you to own it. It has scratches, it has scrapes. It's not perfect. But its damn good for its age.
Interior: 9.9/10.
- The interior is what sold me on this car. It's fucking perfect. The seats, which are original, somehow look like they've never been sat in. The only rip is an inch long on the back passenger bench seat and it has not spread since my ownership. The carpet is in great shape and the dash is absolutely crack free. All of the door cards are in great shape, all the door handles work, all of the windows work. All window switches work. So why 9.9 out of 10? Because the previous owner broke the glove compartment handle off and it's sitting inside the glove compartment. I haven't cared to fix this because I can still get in and out of it without a problem.
- The car is in great shape mechanically. It's rock solid. Always starts. Runs perfectly.
- Transmission shifts perfectly. No grinding, no weird feel, no stupid short throw shifter...stock. Like butter.
- The "Brake Lining" light is on on the dash because generic rear pads were used and the rear pad sensor was not reinstalled. I can fix this, just havent. I assure you it has brand new pads.
- Clutch works perfectly. No weird chattering, nothing.
- The driver's side fog light delete is missing. Never had it. It's $18 from the dealer if it bothers you that much.
- All the HVAC controls work perfectly. The fan works on ALL speeds
- All the gauges work, including odometer.
- Has aftermarket radio/cd/ipod hook up. This is surprisingly nice sounding. I believe all stock speakers, they all work
- Wicked good mpg's
- Bitches love hubcaps
Pics:
- Since this picture was taken the grills and kidney grills have been freshly painted black.

Come and get it.
