WTB: e30ix. late model and automatic preferred. good condition tops all.

i went to look at an ix today. i was told the steering rack was the only real issue with it. i figured it was good to go. wrong. the engine was down about 40hp, it was slow as hell. and the transmission was shot to hell. it felt like the shifter was moving through sludge.

BUT

it completely sold me on awd e30s. so i want one. price is not a huge issue. i will consider all IXs up to about 5 grand.

my requirements:
IX
4 doors

my preferences:
automatic
any color but black
vinyl interior
stock
close to the DC area

however, good condition trumps all preferences. so if you have a excellent condition IX that is manual, black, leather interior, modified, and in NC for sale.. that is fine. i am still interested.

edit: im not going to include this in the preferences since its such a longshot and goes against the vinyl, but i will pay a significant premium for a red interior. especially alpineweiss with cardinal.
